Hi all,
I\'m Beltran from BitNami.org We make open source web applications (like PhpCompta) easier to install by providing all-in-one installers for
Windows, OS X and Linux, as well as virtual machines and cloud images for Amazon. All of our packages are free to download and use. We have
hundreds of thousands of users that each month come to the site to download these apps, which in turns helps drive awareness of the
projects we package and reduce the technical support request associated with installing the app (our packages include all dependencies an app may need to run, including Apache, MySQL, etc.)
We currently package over 50 applications (you can take a look at them here: http://bitnami.org/stacks) and we are always receiving requests
to add new ones. To help us choose which one we should package next, we have created a contest in which end-users can vote for their
favorite application. At the end of each two week cycle, we will package the application that have received more votes.
The reason I am writing is because PhpCompta is currently included in the contest. If you want to vote for it you can do so here:
http://bitnami.org/contest
You can learn more about BitNami at http://bitnami.org and download and play with some other apps to get a feel of what an installer for
PhpCompta would look like. Please let us know any questions or suggestions you may have
Regards,
Beltran
